Migration from FreshMail - FAQ

General information

You can use our app until the end of February 2025. That is why it is necessary to migrate to another tool so that you can continue using email marketing services.

You can read about the migration process in our self-service migration center! We describe for you 5 main steps: creating a free MailerLite account and testing the app for 30 days with premium features, choosing a plan to suit your needs, migrating selected data, deactivating your FreshMail account, and starting to use MailerLite.

We have a special opportunity for you to put the MailerLite app to the test! As a FreshMail customer, you can test the app for 30 days on the Advanced plan with up to 50,000 subscribers without the limits that apply during MailerLite’s standard trial period. If you have more than 50,000 subscribers, you will be subject to the standard limits applicable to the Advanced plan. Find out more about all the features of the Advanced Plan.

You can complete your migration any time until the end of February 2025, as the FreshMail App will no longer be available after this date. However, we recommend that you move to your new MailerLite account within 30 days of starting the migration. Your MailerLite trial period on the Advanced plan will last just 30 days, after which time we will automatically replace the Advanced plan with the Free plan. This is when you will become restricted by specific limits.

Remember that if you fail to migrate all your subscribers to MailerLite while having access to the Advanced plan, later you will only be able to migrate up to 1,000 subscribers as per the Free plan. Only once you have purchased the final plan will you be able to import all your subscribers.

Your plan will run until the end of February 2025 at the latest or until you deactivate it yourself in FreshMail. Deactivation is the final step of the migration to MailerLite. Keep it in mind so that you don’t end up paying for a plan in MailerLite while still having an active plan in FreshMail. This would mean that you would be paying for the use of two apps! As a result, you would have to pay two invoices. You can read more about the migration steps in our migration guide

Yes! Contact us by writing to migracja@freshmail.pl, and we will convert your unused Pay as you go credits into funds to be used to purchase a MailerLite plan. 

Yes! If you would like to migrate to MailerLite before your FreshMail plan expires, send an email to migracja@freshmail.pl, and we will convert the unused portion of your plan into funds to be used in MailerLite. You can use these funds to pay for your plan in MailerLite.

About MailerLite

You have a choice of 4 MailerLite plans: Free, Growing Business, Advanced, and Enterprise. You should remember that during the trial period, you will have access to the Advanced plan with all the advanced features.

The Free plan is ideal for those taking their first steps in email marketing. You can send up to 12,000 messages per month to a database of 1,000 subscribers. In addition, the plan gives you access to our advanced drag & drop editors, where you can create newsletters, pop-ups, sign-up forms, web pages, or landing pages. You also gain access to the email marketing automation creator. The Free plan means, however, that you need to add the MailerLite logo to your projects.

The Growing Business plan allows you to send messages to up to 50,000 subscribers! The plan has all the necessary features to grow your business and increase sales. Apart from the basic functions of the Free Plan, you also get the opportunity to sell digital products, use unlimited templates, send dynamic emails, use the unsubscribe page builder, and use multivariate testing options. 

The Advanced plan offers MailerLite’s most advanced features, meaning even more opportunities to grow your business and improve your email marketing. In the Advanced plan, you get everything that you get in the Growing Business plan, plus: enhanced email marketing automation, HTML editor, promotion pop-ups, preference center, AI tools, and smart sending

The Enterprise Plan is a customized solution tailor-made to your individual needs. This plan is addressed to customers with a large database of 100,000 subscribers and above.

We have some good news for you! You already know a large share of MailerLite’s customer service consultants, as they are FreshMail employees. Find out their working hours and what they can help you with.

You gain access to the self-service migration center, where you will find all the necessary information on migration and instructions to help you every step of the way. You also have the opportunity to take advantage of paid support offered by Polish MailerLite experts. But this is not all! The MailerLite website offers access to many video tutorials and a knowledge database.

MailerLite does not offer the possibility to sign a contract. Plans can be purchased on a subscription basis. You can choose from as many as three plans: Free, Growing Business, and Advanced.

MailerLite does not offer the option to buy a Pay as you go plan, as it is a separate app with its own subscription rules.

You can choose from a selection of plans: Free, Growing Business, Advanced, and Enterprise. 

Logins do not have to be identical. You decide on your login yourself. You can link your MailerLite account to your FreshMail account regardless of the login you use.

Support

We want to be there for you at every stage of your journey. You can enlist the help of a dedicated migration team to help you transition to MailerLite and advise you on a plan that is best for you. In addition to this, specialists will help you map one email template and one form template. You can get support in mapping your templates by filling out this form.

We have also prepared a self-service migration center for you, where you will find all the materials needed during the migration process.

We provide migration assistance regardless of the support plan type! Our dedicated migration team is always happy to help. We are launching a special chat feature in FreshMail to provide customers with migration-related assistance. You can also contact us by sending an email to: migracja@freshmail.pl. At the same time, you can choose to contact our Customer Support according to what is included in your support plan.

Migration of data, templates, and accounts

MailerLite is a completely separate app with a separate technology infrastructure. Templates and websites are created using completely different resources than those used in FreshMail. For this reason, it is not possible to automatically transfer your existing templates to MailerLite. However, you can get free help with the mapping of one newsletter template made using FreshMail Designer and one form template. Templates created in the HTML editor will be downloadable, and you can then import them into the HTML editor in your MailerLite account. If you need to transfer a larger number of templates, you can use the paid assistance of MailerLite experts

Remember that you can transfer your subscriber database and the most popular graphics from your account.

We have tried to make the migration process as simple as possible so you can transfer your subscriber database and the most popular graphics in your account. Unfortunately, reports and statistics cannot be transferred to MailerLite. MailerLite is a completely separate app with its own infrastructure and different methods of report generation. As a result, we were unable to adapt your existing indices to the MailerLite app.

Nevertheless, you can easily download reports on the campaigns sent in FreshMail and all subscriber lists together with the collected data. 

We have tried to make the migration process as simple as possible for you and offer you as many options as we can. That is why, as part of the migration process, you can automatically transfer:

  • the most popular graphics from FreshMail to MailerLite,

  • your subscribers, together with additional fields and subscriber lists (in MailerLite, these will be Groups).

We will also give you the opportunity to reproduce one newsletter template and one subscription form template for free. If you are interested in this option, contact us using the form.

We know that safety is key. That is why we focused on it right from the start and added solutions to safeguard your data.

We provide additional protective measures during migration. Only the account administrator can migrate data. Once you have logged into your FreshMail account, you will need to enter your password again if you want to connect to MailerLite.

As we migrate data using API, the connection between servers is 100% encrypted. This means that even if someone intercepts your data, this person will find it completely useless (impossible to decode).

Until you create a MailerLite account, only FreshMail will have access to your data. If you create a MailerLite account and accept the Anti-Spam Policy, the Terms of Use, and the Privacy Policy, the brand will obtain access to your data in accordance with your consents. MailerLite will have no access to your data until you provide it with appropriate consents.

The final migration step is to deactivate the FreshMail account. Before you do this, make sure you have downloaded all the data you need. Only after you have done that should you deactivate or delete your account. 

Remember that once FreshMail is deactivated, we will not be able to recover your data. The FreshMail App will be available until the end of February 2025.

Unfortunately, this is not possible. Once you have set up your MailerLite account, you will need to re-add users. Only the master administrator of the account can decide whether to initiate the migration.

Make sure your MailerLite account has been approved. By creating an account from the Migration tab in FreshMail, your MailerLite account will be automatically approved, with access to all premium features. However, if your account was created by the website option, it will need to be approved and integrated with your FreshMail account to access all the additional features that migrating customers get.
