Troubleshooting WordPress forms

If you’ve followed the steps to install your MailerLite forms on your WordPress website using the MailerLite signup forms plugin, but have encountered an error such as an incompatibility with a third-party plugin, an outdated software version, or incorrect form types, there are a few things you can do to troubleshoot the issue.

Resetting the MailerLite-WordPress plugin is the easiest way to solve multiple common errors. To do this, you will need to fully uninstall and reinstall the plugin. Installation instructions can be found here

Make sure that you are using the most up-to-date version of WordPress and the MailerLite - Signup forms plugin.

Plugin version: 1.6.7

WordPress Version: 3.0.1 or higher

PHP Version: 6.2 or higher

If you are unable to choose the option Forms created in MailerLite in WordPress, this means you do not have any embedded forms in your connected MailerLite account.

Keep in mind, this option is only for adding embedded type forms. You can add popup forms to your Wordpress site simply by installing the plugin, and enabling MailerLite popups in the plugin settings.

The popup will show on your Wordpress website according to the form’s Visibility settings in MailerLite.

It’s possible that you may have another WordPress plugin or extension that might be interfering with the MailerLite plugin. This is especially true if you come across the following error message when trying to add a form:

This page has been blocked by an extension.

Since it may not be possible to narrow down the plugin that is causing the interference, we recommend disabling all extensions, and uninstalling and re-installing the MailerLite plugin. Once the plugin has been re-installed, check if the issue has been resolved. If it has, continue to re-enable your other plugins one by one, checking that the MailerLite plugin continues to function properly while other plugins are enabled.

WordPress plugins WP Rocket and YoastSEO have been known to cause interferences with the WordPress - MailerLite plugin, although this is not always the case.

It’s always possible to check if MailerLite is having any technical issues by following our status here
