MailerLite offers a variety of campaign types to suit different strategies and goals:

Regular campaign

A regular campaign is the most straightforward type of email campaign. It involves sending a single email to a specific group of subscribers. This type is ideal for general announcements, company updates, or promotions that apply to all recipients. Regular campaigns are easy to set up and can be personalized with dynamic content to increase engagement.

A/B split campaign

A/B split campaigns allow you to test two variations of an email to see which performs better before sending the most effective version to the larger audience. Variables can include subject lines, email content, images, or call-to-action buttons. This method is highly effective for optimizing email strategies and improving open rates and engagement.

Auto resend

Auto resend campaigns help increase the reach of your emails by automatically resending your message to recipients who did not open the first email. Senders can change the subject line or the content of the email to make it more appealing the second time around. This campaign type is beneficial for important announcements or promotions, ensuring maximum visibility among your subscribers.

RSS

RSS campaigns are automated emails that are sent to subscribers whenever new content is published on your RSS feed. This is particularly useful for blogs or websites that update regularly. It ensures your audience stays informed about the latest posts without having to manually check the website. It keeps your audience engaged and drives traffic back to your site.

Multivariate testing

Multivariate campaigns allow you to test multiple campaign elements such as subject lines, sender names, content, and sending times in a single go. Available on higher-tier plans, it allows testing up to 8 variations, offering detailed insights into the optimal combination of factors for maximum engagement. This method is perfect for deeply refining marketing strategies and enhancing email performance.

Ready to create your very first email campaign? Learning how to create your email campaign with MailerLite is easy.

When you're just getting started, you'll see a big orange button in the Campaigns section that says Create your first email. After clicking this, you'll have 4 campaign options to choose from:

  1. Regular campaign

  2. A/B split campaign (to test different versions)

  3. Auto resend (to resend an email to people who didn't open/click your previous email)

  4. RSS (to automatically send new posts from your blog)

Once you've chosen, add your subject and sender information.

In the next step, you'll choose everything related to the newsletter design. Either use our drag & drop editor (recommended), rich text editor or your own HTML. You can also choose from many different newsletter templates we already prebuilt for you. You'll find these in the Template gallery.

In the drag & drop editor, you can freely move blocks into your newsletter and change the design and settings. Press the shift key in case you want tighter line spaces. Please watch our separate videos about the editor to be in the know about all the features.

In the Recipient view, you can add your subscribers.

In the final view, you'll see an overview of all the settings. You can then decide to send your email directly or plan it for later. Once your email is sent, it will move from the Outbox to the Sent folder.

Furthermore, you can copy and delete campaigns, view stats, preview the email or save the email as a pdf.

For email sequences, press the Automation tab.
